ABOUT IRESC ACTIVATION LEVELS

IRESC has several 'activation levels' which are discussed and set by the senior officers ONLY in response to world events or legitimate requests for assistance. Members should check the current activation level regularly and act in accordance with the following guidelines:

ZERO

(WHITE)

Passive monitoring, staff and training nets only

ONE

(GREEN)

Personal assistance, minor incident

TWO

(BLUE)

Public assistance, possible threat to life

THREE

(YELLOW)

Monitoring status, potential significant event

FOUR

(ORANGE)

Emergency monitoring status, major event liable

FIVE

(RED)

Full activation, major event, loss of life

For all levels other than Zero (White), IRESC members are requested to:

  • Log in to the on-line systems in order to check for any further instructions
  • Indicate their availability by making entries on the IRESC Calendar

For all levels above Two (Blue), IRESC members are requested to also:

  • Immediately connect to the IRESC Echolink conference and check in to NCS
